A piece for soprano, piano, electronic music, light and audience
LICHT invites the audience to an interactive performance between multi-sensory art enjoyment and digital borderline experience: The visitors themselves act as actors in an immersive setting in which light and sound take over the direction.
"Classical" song meets electronic sound worlds in 3D sound: poignant songs by George Crumb and Henry Purcell unite with subtle compositions by computer musician Marion Wörle. Moving light art uses position tracking to lead us to explore our own and other people's spaces of experience.
Beguiling concert sounds and disturbing algorithms steer us through light and dark - an interplay between pleasure and irritation, self-determination and the feeling of being at the mercy of others.
The production LICHT is the prelude to the tetralogy NACHT.STÜCKE and will premiere at ZiMMT on August 12, 2021.
