Our premises are also developing further: a new 330° projection system in the concert hall now enables visual projection that encompasses all directions. With the help of our new lifting platform, the acoustic optimization of the hall and a new curtain system for regulating the daylight conditions are currently being installed.

For our upcoming artist residency, we gladly welcome Tasneem Lohani from Bangalore. She utilizes Sound, Performance, Video and Drawing to examine the influences that social media and today’s immersive digital communication systems have on the alienation and disembodiment of the way we communicate. more...
Since the increasing popularity of voice-first technologies, like voice assistants and audio content in communication, further propagate this kind of disembodied communication, Tasneem is raising questions around the intimacy of sound and voice in this context, primarily focusing on using her own voice, field recordings and collected audio as an artistic medium. Being fascinated by the healing effects of sound she aims to explore the sonic connectedness in relation to the atomizing work culture of the post-pandemic techno-capitalist age. Using spatial sound as an immersive medium for this, she aims on spotlighting the issues of labor, productivity, and burnout along with the illness, fatigue and abuse on the body caused by our obsession with productivity globally. Within the residency she will be connecting with the local public and culture, exploring their relationship to work and labor, setting up a sound installation as space for healing and dialogue.
