(b. 1981) is a Swedish-Finnish composer and sound artist from Turku, Finland. Ahti works with field recordings and other acoustic sound material in combination with synthesizers and electronic feedback to find the space where these sounds begin to communicate. She makes music that rides waves of slowly deforming harmonies and mutating textures - raw, angular, yet precise and detailed compositions. Ahti has presented her music in many different contexts in Europe, Japan and the United States. She is currently active with her partner Niko-Matti Ahti in the duo Ahti & Ahti and the artist/organizer collective Himera.
