With “DAS IST NICHT ASMR” (This is not ASMR) Martí Guillem has developed a site-specific performance especially for ZiMMT that explores the immersive potential of sound moving through space. Self-built electroacoustic devices are manipulated and moved around the setup, creating dynamic movements within the tree-like sound structure and unfamiliar listening experiences.

As an artist, Guillem often ventures into the unusual through the manipulation of electronic devices, sounds, images, videos, actions, and objects. Improvisation, experimentation, and a DIY approach come together—irreverent yet thoughtful—usually resulting in fleeting proposals. These works are characterized by their fresh and evolving expression, reflecting social habits as well as the relationship between creativity and everyday life.
