Oliver Steidle and Steffi Narr create an energetic space through free interaction, where the music oscillates between brutal and fragile. Guitarist Steffi Narr’s acoustic and electronic effects are contrasted and complemented by the powerful playing of drummer Oliver Steidle and his live electronics. The two musicians play with musical clichés from rock, punk, and heavy metal without conforming to them. For the current project, SAOU TV, a German-Japanese video jockey and multimedia artist, expands the improvisational experimental field with her live-generated video sequences inspired by glitch art. Narr//Steidle feat. SAOU TV plays with implications of common expectations of pop music performance, contrasts them with free improvisation, and creates a multimedia concert experience designed to challenge the audience.
