SANE Concert Night
3D audio Concert / 5.12.25
An evening for the ears – and the space in between.
With Bianca Loffreda, Mariam Gviniashvili and Ferdinand Kavall.
Over a year ago, as part of the Europe-wide call by Spatial Audio Network Europe (SANE), we selected artists who embarked on a special mission. In residencies at partner institutions, they experimented with innovative 3D audio technologies, moved sounds in space and created immersive compositions that transcend conventional listening habits. Now, after being presented in Hellerau and Milan, the resulting works are coming to us. On this evening, these new spatial compositions will be presented together for the first time at ZiMMT: spherical, physical, multi-layered. The audience will not only hear, but stand in the middle of the sound and become part of a constantly changing audiovisual landscape.
Composer Bianca Loffreda works in the fields of electronic music, classical new chamber music and symphonic music.
Mariam Gviniashvili is a composer and sound artist. She works at the intersection of electroacoustic music, 3D sound and multimedia performance.
Ferdinand Kavall is a composer and multi-instrumentalist based in Berlin and the Black Forest. In his works, he combines acoustic instruments with processed layers of sound, exploring physical and metaphorical spaces. He is known for his immersive concert format ‘Spatial Guitar’ and has been supported by various organisations.
This event is Co-funded by the European Union
