With the collaborative project SANG, three institutions for immersive arts have committed themselves to supporting artists in getting started with spatial audio and working on technical standards for realizing 3D audio concerts: ZiMMT, the interdisciplinary lab spaes in Berlin, and the immersive sound agency MediaApes in Neustadt an der Weinstraße. Through individual mentoring, the SANG experts support artists according to their needs—whether it’s about recordings, spatial live implementation, or developing their own tools. With two think tank events, the network promotes nationwide knowledge transfer on 3D audio and mutual support in research and development.
