Ca$$andra
he trio Ca$$andra (vibraphone/percussion, bass, voice) performs a freely improvised set that occasionally settles into more structured forms. The improvisation engages in a dialogue with the live electronics of Paul Hauptmeier, who processes the instrumental sounds and spatializes them on the ZiMMT’s 3D sound system.
Lara Alarcón
Lara Alarcón is an Argentine singer, composer, and improviser based in Berlin. Her performances and compositions embody the idea of prosthetic dialectics through the use and support of large amplifiers, pedals, noise devices, and other sonic complexities, spanning live video, live coding, and electroacoustic formats such as electro trios, string ensembles, and solo performances. Her music captivates listeners intensely with her restless stage presence and powerful dynamic shifts.
She performs in freely improvised settings with musicians from diverse countries and a wide range of aesthetics. Her most prominent project is her solo act VQ, with which she has toured both in-person and online across South America and Europe. Additionally, she is co-founder and director of the label and concert series Numeral (or Neue Numeral), dedicated to promoting and connecting artists within the experimental and improvised music scenes.
