AV - Labor 2026
Workshop series at ZiMMT
The AV Lab will enter its third year in 2026 and has established itself as an open, experimental workshop series for audiovisual practice. It is aimed at anyone who wants to learn new audiovisual techniques, develop their own projects, or network with other creative people. No prior knowledge is required.
The workshop series covers various areas at the intersection of media art, music, and technology, including AI-supported image and video production, music production, 3D audio techniques, video mapping, 3D modeling, creative coding, motion tracking, generative video, and lighting design. The workshops are led by experienced hosts and offer plenty of opportunity for exchange, collaborative learning, and mutual inspiration.
Each workshop begins with an introduction to the respective topic and suitable, mostly free software tools. This is followed by an open lab session where participants can work hands-on, try things out, and share knowledge. ZiMMT provides its premises and special technical equipment for this purpose, including a 300° video projection, a 3D audio system, and a position tracking system.
The specific topics covered in each workshop will be announced on our website.
ZiMMT warmly invites FLINTA* in particular to participate. Participation fee: €5 per person per workshop (upon prior registration). In case of financial hardship, a fee waiver can be arranged via email. Number of participants: max. 12 people.
