Sara Persico
Sara Persico (Naples, 1993) is a Berlin-based sound artist, composer, and performer. In her practice, she explores forms of storytelling through the expressive possibilities of the human voice and electronic sounds.
Her compulsive sonic dimension is characterized by an unusual, impulsive vocal style, combined with pulsations and a wide range of frequencies.
Sara plays with the concept of transforming the identity of things and altering the nature of sounds to create a sophisticated inner landscape that stimulates the imagination.
Her versatile and performative approach has led her to numerous collaborative projects with artists such as Tomomi Adachi, Evelyn Saylor’s vocal ensemble for Caterina Barbieri’s Light Years Show, Andy Moor (The Ex), Tony Elieh, Dirar Kalash, Recordat, Francesca Grilli, and others.
