In dieser Ambient-Roboter-Performance begeben sich Moritz Simon Geist und der Visual Artists Dominic Kießling auf eine Reise durch Sinuswellen, Vibrationen und Moiré-Muster.
Die kontemplative „Performance für ein sitzendes Publikum“ basiert auf Moritz neuestem Werk „Don’t Look at Me“, einer kinetischen Maschine, die mit mechanischen Aktuatoren Sinuswellen erzeugt.
„Geist behandelt zentrale Fragen der Zukunft, wie die Wahrnehmung von Technologie, der Robotisierung der Gesellschaft oder künstlicher Intelligenz, kommt aber dennoch auf eine sehr spielerische und unterhaltsame Weise daher: durch elektronische Musik.“ (ARTE)

Die Cryptoheroes sind einst aus der Welt der zeitgenössischen bildenden Kunst entsprungen. Als Wesen zwischen Mensch, Tier und Maschine erkunden sie in „IT SMELLS LIKE MINT SPIRIT“ gemeinsam mit den Musiker:innen Sloush + Zarrt und dem Publikum, welche Rolle die Nase beim Erzählen von Geschichten spielt – eine olfaktorische Begegnung, die neue Dimensionen im performativen Format auslotet. Der menschliche Körper als Plattform für Parfüm & Rasierwasser – welche Rollen geben uns diese zugesetzten Duftstoffe?

in this ambient robotic performance, moritz simon geist and visual artist Dominic Kießling investigate a journey through sine waves, vibrations , and moire patterns.
The contemplative performance for a seated audience is based on Moritz newest work, “don’t look at me” a sonic machine which produces sine waves with mechanical actuators.
“Geist is treating some important questions of the future, like the perception of technology, the robotization of society or the artificial intelligence, but still comes in a very playful and entertaining way: through electronic music.” (ARTE)

The human body as a platform for perfume & aftershave – what roles do these added fragrances give us?
