Die “Noosphäre” ist ein philosophisches Konzept, das von dem Biogeochemiker Vladimir Vernadsky und dem Philosophen und Jesuitenpater Pierre Teilhard de Chardin entwickelt wurde. Wernadskij definierte die Noosphäre als den neuen Zustand der Biosphäre und bezeichnete sie als die planetarische „Sphäre der Vernunft“. Parallel dazu prägte er den Begriff Radionoosphäre, der den Zustand der elektromagnetischen Hertziosphäre mit den kulturellen und natürlichen Überresten der an der Ionosphäre der Erde gebrochenen und reflektierten Übertragungen darstellt.
Im Workshop werden die Teilnehmenden gemeinsam verschiedene Bänder und Frequenzen abhören, um die unsichtbaren aber doch existenten elektromagnetische Frequenzen (etwa Ultraschall, Infraschall oder Geophonie) durch von Mazón eigens entwickelte offene Hardware und Open-Source-Software zu erfassen und mit menschlichen Sinnen wahrnehmbar zu machen.

The „noosphere“ is a philosophical concept developed by biogeochemist Vladimir Vernadsky and philosopher and Jesuit priest Pierre Teilhard de Chardin. Vernadsky defined the noosphere as the new state of the biosphere and described it as the planetary „sphere of reason“. In parallel, he coined the term radionoosphere, which represents the state of the electromagnetic hertziosphere with the cultural and natural remnants of transmissions refracted and reflected at the Earth’s ionosphere.
In the workshop, the participants will listen to different bands and frequencies together in order to capture the invisible but yet existing electromagnetic frequencies (such as ultrasound, infrasound or geophony) using open hardware and open source software developed by Mazón and make them perceptible to the human senses.
